The Brain Game is a weekly quiz bowl show for high school students that airs on NBC-affiliate WTHR-13 in Indianapolis, Indiana. It is currently broadcast at 7 pm on Saturdays, and the host is WTHR lead meteorologist Chris Wright. It is sponsored by Westfield Insurance, which also sponsors four other high school quiz shows. The show is filmed at the WTHR studios on Meridian Street in Indianapolis. Since 2008 Brain Game has been filmed in HD. Chris Wright has hosted the Brain Game since 2000, and Bob Gregory did so for 28 years from the show's start in 1972 until 2000. Until 2008 it was filmed at the Fairbanks Center at Butler University. The Brain Game was nominated for a Regional Emmy in 2001 for best On Camera Talent - Non News, in 2003 for best Children/Youth Program - Regularly Scheduled, in 2004 for best Children/Youth Program - Regularly Scheduled, and in 2007 for best Children/Youth Program....

The original and best-known version was hosted by Groucho Marx of the Marx Brothers, with announcer and assistant George Fenneman. The show debuted on ABC Radio in October 1947, then moved to CBS Radio in September 1949 before making the transition to NBC-TV in October 1950. Because of its simple format, it was possible to broadcast the show simultaneously on the radio and on television. In 1960, the show was renamed The Groucho Show and ran a further year. The series was the first national game show hosted by the 42-year-old Edwards, who would become notable for his next two hosting jobs, The New Treasure Hunt and Jackpot!. The program aired at 3:30 p.m./2:30 Central time, opposite ABC's One Life to Live and NBC's Return to Peyton Place. Edwards once said that while hosting this series, he had a tenuous working relationship with Jack Barry. 1 vs. 100 is an Australian spin-off game show based on the American version of the same name and the original Dutch version created by Endemol. The game pits one person against 100 others for a chance to win one million dollars. The program is hosted by former Nine Network CEO and personality Eddie McGuire. The Australian version of the show premiered on 29 January 2007 at 8:30 pm on the Nine Network and is recorded in the Melbourne Docklands Central City Studios. The format of the Australian show is based on series 2 of the US show. The prize ladder is half the value of the US ladder, with a single million-dollar jackpot for eliminating all 100 players. A second season of the show started airing on Friday, 6 June 2008 to 13 June 2008, but it was put on hiatus then cancelled....

Go is an American television game show created by Bob Stewart and aired on NBC from October 3, 1983 to January 20, 1984. The show featured two teams, each composed of four contestants and a celebrity. The teams had to construct questions one word at a time to convey a word or phrase to their teammates. The concept of Go was based on a bonus round used on Chain Reaction, another game show created by Stewart. Los Angeles and Buffalo meteorologist Kevin O'Connell was the show's host, and Johnny Gilbert was the announcer. Go aired at 12:00 Noon Eastern on NBC, long a problem timeslot for the three major broadcast networks at the time as their local affiliates would often preempt network programming to air newscasts or other programming and the shows the networks would place there would often suffer in the ratings. Go proved to be one of those programs, as NBC ended the series after only sixteen weeks of episodes had aired....
