Flight 29 Down is a television series about a group of teenagers who are stranded on an island. It was produced by Discovery Kids. The show was created by Stan Rogow and D. J. MacHale. The executive producers are Rogow, MacHale, Shauna Shapiro Jackson, and Gina & Rann Watumull. The first two seasons aired on Discovery Kids. The "third season" of the series, which started filming February 5, 2007, was produced as a four-part film, instead of the episodic format of the first two seasons. A promo debuted for Flight 29 Down: The Movie during the second season finale. The show was filmed in O'ahu, Hawaii....

Jailbreak was a reality television game show. It was hosted by Craig Charles, and co-presented by Charlie Stayt and Ruth England. It was shown in 2000 by Five in the United Kingdom. Original host Ulrika Jonsson had to pull out of the project due to health concerns over her newborn child. Contestants in Jailbreak had to escape from a mock prison in order to win a cash prize of £100,000. The "prison", at a secret location near Potters Bar, Hertfordshire, was fitted with hi-tech security systems. "Inmates" faced a three-week authentic prison regime, complete with 35 prison guards and a 18-foot high fence topped with razor wire. A number of chinks in the security system were deliberately placed by the production team. Escapes were aided by a series of clues, and by texts from the viewing public with suggestions on escape routes. The show was won by three female contestants Roberta Woodhouse, 29, Hannah Davies, 24, and Laura Hawkins, 22. They broke out of the prison in the early hours of a Saturday morning - 14 days into the show. It has not been commissioned for a further series....

Trapped is an Australian children's television series which first premiered on 30 November 2008 and finished its first run on 18 April 2009 on the Seven Network. The 26-part series was shot entirely on location in and around Broome, Western Australia from May to October 2008. A follow up series entitled Castaway began airing on the Seven Network on 12 February 2011. Many of the actors in the main cast of Trapped reprised their roles....

Eden was a Channel 4 reality TV series broadcast in spring 2002. The contestants who were all under 30 had to survive in a remote area of the Australian jungle. Their numbers were augmented each week by a newcomer selected by the viewers. In the latter part of the series the newcomer then had to select candidates for eviction. The contestants were able to receive email from viewers which led to conflict when negative remarks by incoming contestant Romany Paige were reported to their subject. The series was eventually won by one of the six original contestants Cliona O Connor. The only contestants to achieve subsequent recognition have been Crimewatch presenter Rav Wilding who actually quit before the end of the series and Johny Pitts, the only male Edenite to last the duration of the show, who went on to present CDUK, MTV and currently CBBC. Although the show did not return for a second series it did have some influence. I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here first broadcast later that year was set in a similar location and it was the first reality show to send in a contestant's real-life partner to spice up the drama a device used subsequently in Back To Reality and Big Brother....

Moolah Beach is a reality show in the vein of Survivor but with teenagers competing in competitions in order to not be exiled from the beach and ultimately win $25,000. It aired on Fox as a 30-minute show and Fox Family as an extended 60-minute show in the summer/fall of 2001 for 13 episodes and is the predecessor of the current show Endurance on Discovery Kids. The show was filmed on Pilaa beach near Hanalei on the island of Kauai's North Shore....

Shipwrecked on an uninhabited island, Robinson Crusoe fills his time in either building a shelter for himself, or by reminiscing about the years he spent at sea and the adventures that led him to where he is. The months roll by and the hardships become easier, especially with his herd of wild goats, the ship's dog and a friendly parrot to keep him company. But one day he comes across a strange footprint - friend or foe? Note this was an unusual Anglo-French production and Robert Hoffmann is Austrian. There are two surviving, and very different versions - an English language (dubbed) version with 13 x 28 minute episodes and a German language version with 4 x 80 minute episodes. They are very different edits, with different musical soundtracks and many different scenes, which is all of great interest to fans of this series. Both are available on DVD, although sadly the German version does not have English subtitles available (and vice-versa)....

Survivor Srbija is a Serbian version of the Survivor, reality television game show. Its first broadcast was on October 27, 2008. The show is created by Vision Team production company and broadcast by Prva Srpska Televizija. In addition to Serbia, the show is broadcast in Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Slovenia and Montenegro. So far four seasons have been filmed and broadcast. The show has a set number of contestants stranded on an isolated area for 53 days in the first two seasons and 32 and 37 days in the third and the fourth seasons. The winners received a prize of €100,000. In VIP season, the winner received a prize of €50,000. The show is hosted by Andrija Milošević....
